Heating Iron Coated Nanotube Sheets

Objective
Heating Iron Coated Nanotube Sheets

Recommended Equipment
The recommended equipment for this application is the UPT-W10/150 power supply with the HS-8LF heat station.

Materials
Iron Coated Nanotube Sheets, 30% to 40% iron loading by volume

Power: 2.96 kW
Temperature: 100°C
Time: 30 seconds

Materials
Iron Coated Nanotube Sheets, 30% to 40% iron loading by volume

Power: 2.96 kW
Temperature: 100°C
Time: 15 seconds

Results and Conclusions:

The iron coated nanotube sheets heated to 100°C.  The samples were pressed down to prevent movement caused by the magnet field.  The thinner material curled and broke up into pieces but the thicker material was left intact. The lab equipment used was an W10/150 unit but an SM5/200 or an SH2/350 with an HS4 heat station is recommended for the job.
